Jen has created a Stage Two Guided Reading unit of work.
She has mapped the literacy continuum cluster markers according to like content.Kids are already mapped on PLAN. So, she group the kids according to where they sit on the continuum (sometimes they are different cluster groups depending on what evidence she has for the markers that are being treated in this teaching and learning cycle) |

Each student has a personal learning goal that they have decided in reference to the checklist that is used for self-assessment. They also have a teacher decided goal that is agreed upon in a conference. Jen's goal for them is linked to the clusters and it is designed to support their learning goal or their most important deficit at this stage.
Programs are colour coded according to the super 6 comprehension strategies.
Teaching learning cycle is 2 weeks. Short, sharp and with a focus on a small number of goals.
As Jen teaches she carries her mapped cluster document with her and as the kids evidence the cluster markers annotations are made in a different colour for each unit of work so that it can show that they have demonstrated the marker on more than one occasion and more than one kind of text.
