The Earth is an extremely dynamic system. Changes can occur very rapidly like earthquakes and tsunamis whilst others happen slowly eg erosion. Humans can ‘mitigate’, but as yet, cannot accurately predict many naturally occurring extreme weather devastation.
This term we will be studying Extreme Weather and its effects. Natural events do occur. No one chooses to experience disaster. But when we do, we are able to draw upon our collective strength and survive, despite these sometimes cataclysmic events. Although we cannot stop natural disasters from striking, we can prepare ourselves by having a plan to deal with the inevitable. Here is a copy of what I have written up so far. It is a Google Slide presentation but I have downloaded it as a PDF . If you would like a copy of the Google Slide presentation please email me. As it will be updated over the next few weeks. |
